Let me call a spade, a spade today. The phrase I hear all the time while talking to people in recovery ... I'll try.
Are you kidding me?! I'll try?! Let me ask you, did you 'try' to stay high or did you just DO IT?! Did you 'try' to find drugs, or did you FIND THEM?! Did you try to get some money, or did you do WHATEVER IT TOOK to make it happen?!
I bet if meditation made your ass high, you would do it! If fresh fruit and vegetables could make your buzz last, that you would have a stock pile! And if running ... well it DOES make you high, so you should try it!
I ask you the question I have been asking since I started helping people in recovery ... WHY is it that up until yesterday (the day before you started recovery) NOTHING was impossible; yet today no one has ANY idea how they will ever fit all these things they need to do for recovery into their 'busy' day?
You were just spending ALL DAY, EVERY DAY chasing drugs! And now you can't seem to find 30 min to go for a walk? You used to sit around zoned out all day, and now you can't do it for 20 min while meditating?!
Try putting forth 1/4 of the effort you put into staying high and YOU WILL NOT FAIL!!!
Who am I?
