Hello again Sports Fans!
Do you 'move' on purpose in the morning and throughout the day? I don't mean walk to the bathroom or the fridge or to the copy room, I mean do 'something extra' and with 'intention' (which is part of the key!). You don't have to workout for an hour for it to help you. Let me give you some EASY examples of what you can do each and every day to help your mind, body, and spirit.
Look into Tai Chi and/or QiGong as amazing examples of how to keep your body and mind healthy without doing any crazy long or even super difficult programs! Below are a quick example of each to get you started :) Enjoy in good health!

Hello again Sports Fans!
Hold on to your hats on this one as anything that rubs along with the disease model gets me really fired up lol! First, as I back everything with actual current research and not some hypothesis that was created before the first computer was built, here is where you can read more about what I'm going to rant about. And to wet your appetite here is a small taste of that paper: "The body is not constructed according to our genes. Instead, our genome reflects a range of potential and waits for direction from the environment. Our phenotype, our body at any given moment, is the product of past and present genome-environment interactions. Our genes respond to the environment, the environment is incorporated into our body, and our body then acts upon and influences the environment, which continues to direct the expression of our 30,000 genes. One’s phenotype and one’s environment are plastic and interdependent. They are co-created through one’s ecology. Changing the environment changes our ecology which changes our body-mind. Immigrant studies and twin studies have shown the powerful effect of different environments. The risk for and incidence of most degenerative diseases changes with one’s environment, not one’s genes." I love how our medical field only takes their 'biases' as researched 'facts' lol. In drug research they only pay attention to the study where the medication actually did better than the placebo ... but they TOTALLY dismiss the fact that 1) many still got better without the medication and 2) that the placebo often out does the medication (like 60-80 percent of the time). And just like those studies, they only pay attention to the 'findings' in studies that relate to a 'genetic' component ... and totally dismiss the environmental, psychological, and social impacts of the outcome. For example, there are many twin studies about addiction that show that the adopted child still suffers from addiction later in life ... so it MUST be genetic ... right? It must be, as there is NEVER any negative feelings on the adopted person's side, like why did my mom not love me, or any negative experiences in the adoption programs or ANYTHING else that might possibly attribute to the same outcome of drug use but that of a genetic issue ... wtfe! Those that still advocate this archaic way of understanding the very complex process of human development need to crack open some textbooks and research on epigenetic and psychoneuroimmunology (among others)! The world is no longer 'flat' my friends and human biology and development no longer work the way we were taught 30 years ago in school! We are not a series of independent organs and systems. We are a very complex organism with a never ending series of reciprocal feedback loops from the brain to body and body to brain and everything to the environment! If you want to test someones current education and understanding about how the body and brain work, ask them to explain the stomach as the second brain, and if they look at you funny or with a questioning look ... RUN AWAY! Run very FAR away! Hello Sports Fans!
I want to drop in and talk about one of my favorite $10 dollar words that I feel more people need to become more informed about ... especially those in medicine lol! Here is a link to a very nice read breaking down the information that we have known for ... hold on to your hats TWENTY YEARS! In a nutshell psychoneuroimmunology is the study of the idea that stress will kill you. To wet your appetite here is a small clip from the article: "For more than a decade, researchers have known that behavioral and psychological events can influence the immune system. But now new research shows that the immune system sends signals to the brain "that potently alter neural activity and thereby alter everything that flows from neural activity, mainly behavior, thought and mood," said Maier, professor of psychology at the University of Colorado. "In a real, true sense, stress makes you physically sick," explained Maier. "In addition, many of the changes over time in mood and cognition from day to day are driven by events in the immune system of which we are unaware." The impact of psychoneuroimmunology, along with epigenetics and neuroplasticity are some of the main reasons that we MUST learn to 'think' differently about ourselves and our world around us! Hello Sports Fans!
Ahhhh yes, the ultimate question! How? Everyone wants to eat better and workout more or not be as stressed or have better relationships or ... well, fill in the blank ... but they don't know how. The how is simple ... people normally change when the pain of staying the same is more painful than the pain of changing. Meaning, when clothes don't fit anymore and you either start dieting or working out or you have to go buy new clothes ... people might change. Or when the relationship gets to the point that you are going to lose your mind if things don't change ... people might decide to finally work on things. This is the 'old' model of change. It is the 'Newtonian' model, the 'cause and effect' model. Thankfully, people don't have to be at 'rock bottom' or 'at the end of their wits' to change! You CAN choose to simply put in the work NOW! Much like 'changing lanes' you can do it ahead of time, when you have lots of room and don't have to stress, or you can wait until the last second, be all stressed out and possibly cause an accident. Both ways of changing involve a 'choice'. One is forced the other is made freely. One involves pain and suffering the other can involve joy and happiness. Either way, the choice is yours to make as ... Change happens when you choose to do something different today! Good Morning Sports Fans!
Lets start by asking a basic question ... The 2009 Swine Flu (H1N1) was deemed a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) ... true or false? All of you who guessed TRUE ... you are CORRECT! But wait? Do you remember the lockdown? Do you remember being forced to wear masks? Do you remember the mandatory testing and all the vaccinations? Me either. Why? Because they didn't happen. I wonder why? Here's another quick question ... How did we, as a species, make it through all this time without the government around to give us all vaccinations? Its called your immune system! And thankfully, there are MANY different things you can do to help make sure your immune system is running at 100%
It's almost like the directions were the opposite of what you should have been doing to help make sure your immune system was at 100%?!?! Hey Sports Fans!
Welcome back to a brand new look, a new feel, and a new purpose! I've 'shed' my clinical and diagnostic skin, as I'm tired of being run by the organizations that are 10-30 years behind the curve because they are controlled by biased and ignorant leadership who are slaves to insurance and the legal system ... much more on this to come under the heading of "behind the curve". So, as an old patient used to say "just do you boo." I'm going to do what I know works in a way that will actually have a real impact on peoples lives and not just be a feel good measure that will help the profit margin while the person keeps coming back months and years later. My goal is to help people change their lives as quickly as possible so I can move onto the next few people that I can work with. Currently ... TEN (10) is the magic number! That means, in order to help a lot of people, I need to get those 10 up and running and into groups and out of individual sessions! The structure for doing this is going to be unlike ANYTHING you've ever seen! However, I HOPE this approach becomes the mainstream method! As it will actually HELP those who need it. BUT, as it is NOT geared for profit but rather results ... I don't foresee any of the big organizations or insurance companies picking the model up anytime soon. BUT for those that are serious, and I means REALLY serious about actually making some changes in their lives, I don't know of a better way, without me coming to live with you for a few months lol! So come check out the new information and stay tuned for MUCH more to come! Welcome back Jack! |
