Hello everyone!
Today, I want to talk about something that is currently very close to my heart ... death. Unfortunately, the day we are born the wick of our life's candle is lit and it starts its slow burn throughout the length of our life. If we are lucky we spent the majority of our time, illuminating things in life that we enjoyed or looked forward too! Too often however, we continue to look at regret, sadness, remorse and the like and burn much of our candle on 'the past' instead of 'the now' in which we actually live. This very thing happens when someone we love dies. We feel lost, or alone, as though part of us died as well, and what sometimes happens, is 'we' stop living as well. But why do we do this to ourselves? Would the person that passed want you to live in sadness? Would they want you to be 'wasting' your life away living in the days that 'were'? If anything, don't you think they would want you to live your life 'fuller' than you had been? Wouldn't they tell you that "life is precious, make sure you make the most of it" ? Wouldn't they tell you to quite waiting to live your dreams, and to start living them? Folks, death just happens because the conditions are present at that time. If bread is left out in the rain, it will fall apart. Not because the rain is punishing the bread, nor because the bread is good or bad, its simply the result of the conditions. If you leave bread in the sun, it will dry out. If you leave it in a damp area it will mold. Again, not because of any punishments or because something is good or evil, but because the conditions of life were present to facilitate death. The goal of happiness, is to enjoy the bread that the world gives you while the world lets you have it! Another thing to keep in mind ... 20,000 kids starve to death EVERYDAY! Death itself is not impacting you, its only that you were emotionally tied to the person that you lost. Focus on the GOOD memories. YOU are in full control of the 'videos' that you play in your mind. YOU choose which 'tapes' to play. Focus on editing the bad thoughts out, and focusing on the good ones! Death, much like life is what you choose to make of it! #masterofmyfate #becomethechange
