In meditation, the goal is to do these things CONSCIOUSLY. AND if you PRACTICE on a REGULAR basis … you will eventually program your brain (thank you, neuroplasticity) to focus on the positive in the same unconscious manner as you currently do the negative. Meditation (there are a multitude of different definitions and understandings), however, loosely defined … is the practice of purposefully focusing one’s thoughts on something for a specific purpose. AKA ~ thinking about what you want to think about … on purpose. STOP just being a reactive slave to your old programming! STOP being a puppet to society, sales, politics, and the like.
